Document Connector provides businesses with centralized coordination of all searchable resources. This involves both coordination of the queries transmitted to the individual search engines and fusion of the search results returned by each of them.
When federated search is performed against secure data sources, the user’s credentials are passed to each underlying search engine, in order to maintain appropriate security.
The user receives aggregated search results in a common form based on specified mapping rules.
